My Story
Growing up in Ohio, my best access to fashion was through magazines. I started flipping through them when I was two, and never stopped. I taught myself how to sew at the age of  nine, using my Barbies as my models; then moved on to making my own clothes and accessories. My makeup followed what I was seeing in the magazines, good and bad... it was of the ‘80s, so there was plenty of interesting fashion to create.

After Cosmetology School I approached local bands to do hair and makeup for their performances...again it was the late 80's and who doesn't love a great metal band?

In 1987 I moved to Washington DC to work in a hair salon, to expand my professional portfolio. Gaining professional styling experience through my mentors, I moved to New York City and tackled the big city working in television, print and film production.

I continue to work as a Hair, Makeup and Wardrobe Stylist in Production, Photography and Commercials. As you can see below, one of my career highs was the honor to be the personal makeup artist to President Barack Obama's first Inauguration.
